Private lessons are the core of learning at Johnson Music School. Each student receives individual guidance tailored to their age, experience, and musical interests.
How Lessons Work
Students attend a weekly private lesson during the NSW school terms.
Lessons take place at the same time each week with the same teacher, allowing students to build a consistent routine and a strong working relationship with their teacher.
Tailored Learning
Every student learns differently. Lessons are tailored to suit each student’s learning style, interests, and goals.
Some students enjoy working towards exams or performances, while others simply want to learn music for enjoyment. Our teachers support both approaches.
What Students Learn
Over time, students develop important musical skills including reading music, technique and coordination, rhythm and timing, musical expression, effective practice habits. Lessons balance technical development with music that students enjoy playing.
